Maximum daily sums of precipitation in Slovakia in the second half of the 20th century
Summary: Increasing number of natural disasters caused by heavy rains and exceptional rain intensities occurred in Slovakia initiated the analysis of maximum daily precipitation totals. About 600 precipitation stations in Slovakia have sufficiently reliable time series of maximum daily precipitation totals in the 1950-1999 period.
